Teton Communications Inc. is the largest and most experienced provider of 2-Way radio products and premier tower locations in Eastern Idaho, Western Wyoming and Southwest Montana.

From its beginnings in 1966, Teton Communications Inc. has grown to become a fully staffed, professional sales and full-service wireless business, providing guidance in the selection of wireless products, system integration, installation, repair and licensing for its clients.

The Problem

Teton Communications originally had a monitoring solution bundled with its Trunked Radio network when it was implemented many years ago. Unfortunately this solution had reached end-of-life and was no longer supported by the original supplier. Teton searched far- and-wide for a replacement solution that provides enhanced capabilities to meet ongoing client requirements.

The Solution – VUpt

VuPt provides a new level of data and operational transparency for Teton Communications by ingesting, integrating and presenting visual data from the Etherstack trunked radio infrastructure and other systems, to monitor the ‘live’ performance of the Teton Communications network infrastructure.

From a single integrated User Interface, Teton Communications monitors & manages network performance and operator safety via rich visualisations and in-depth, critical Insights into performance. With automated alerts & notifications, deep dive analytics & on demand reports, Teton can optimise the management of its customer’s needs.

VuPt easily integrates with Teton’s existing critical applications to help leverage the investment already made in infrastructure and equipment. The solution collates and visually displays real-time information of importance to the business, including monitoring & alerting users to situations that have the potential to compromise business objectives.

We searched for a replacement for our performance monitoring and management solution which was originally bundled with our Trunked Radio solution, but had reached end-of-life. VUpt fitted the bill beautifully and will grow with us over the coming years with the ability to seamlessly add SNMP and other monitoring capabilities.
